  1. ok...

In relation to radio waves, such as what cordless phones use... . the LOWER the frequency of the wave, the FURTHER the signal will travel if all other variables are equal (same transmitting power etc) the HIGHER the frequency of the wave the SHORTER the distance the signal will travel, as it wil use up all of its energy faster..

900Mhz phones transmit with a much lower TX power then newer phones and therefore even tho it is a lower frequency, it still has poor range...

2.4 Ghz phones have better range then 900 Mhz phones BECAUSE they have a higher TX power. If there is no interfearance from WiFi or other signals then 2.4 Ghz phones SHOULD have better range then 5.8Ghz phones

5.8 Ghz phones came out after 2.4Ghz phones, and as we have always been taught bigger is better, we are lead to assume it transmitts further then 2.4 ghz. this assumption however is WRONG... 5.8 Ghz phones have LESS RANGE then 2.4ghz phones. They were introduced into the market because the popularity of WiFi which operates at the same frequency range as 2.4Ghz phones, and create interfearance.

DECT 6.0 operate at 1.9 Ghz, and therefore provide the furthest range out of all previous cordless phones
