  1. rats:smartest rodents;can learn their name unlike any other rodent;cleanest of all rodents.different stores sell for different prices same as the rest but i will list the prices they are at my pet shop---rats:10-20 dollars

gerbils:these nibble and bite more than rats or mice they have 4 inch tails like rats and stand on their hind legs should be in tank cause they are known as jumpers and they are extremely fast.---- cost:11.99 usd's

mice:well i don't know that much about mice except they are between a gerbil and a rat in appearance and in personality.----- they are usually sold for 3-6 usd's

  2. Rat: http://www.becomingdomestic.co.uk/wp-con...

Rats are probably one of the smartest and friendliest rodents.

They're about 4-5 inches long not including the tail, but there are some   breeds that can be about 12 inches long without the tail.

    Gerbil: http://www.petoffice.co.jp/mbl/ph/zukan/...

Looks a little like a hamster with a rat tail. One of the more exotic ones considering they're illegal to keep as pets in lots of states. They're about 4 inches full grown not including the tail.

    Mouse: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/critters...

The smallest out of the three, more commonly used as snake food but also make fantastic pets. They're about 2 inches full grown or less not including the tail.

  3. Rats- Intelligent, 300 (I think) scales on their tails.

    Gerbils- Furry tails.

Mice- 200 (I think) scales on their tails.

  4. A rat is larger and requires more attention, a mouse and a gerbil are pretty much the same, although they require very different needs. Here are some links to help you.

  5. One is a rat, another is a mouse and the other is a gerbil

  6. Rats are great. Can live anywhere including your local restaurant

  7. Rats are the most intelligent and they are usually fairly tame and elegant, they are also usually the biggest, and are very smart. Rats can also learn small tricks, and learn to respond to their name. But some untamed Rats will bite and scratch. Rats also live fairly long. Rats are also very clean in general and aren't as stinky as other Rodents.

Mice are the smallest in general and are usually a pleasure to watch because they are always so hyper, and love going in those running wheels. They don't live that long but they are cute and entertaining.

Gerbils are my overall favorite, and they do not hardly ever bite, and are kind of in between mice and rats. They are not nocturnal in general, but there most active time is the early evening(4:00 to 8:00), they are a true pleasure to watch because they are immensely curious, and like to interact with everything they can get there paws on. Gerbils also LOVE to chew and you need to provide ample chewing materials, or there teeth will get to long, and hey will get depressed and try to escape. Gerbils also love burrowing so they just love any mind of tunnel system. Also if you are going to get Gerbils get at least two that know each other, and do NOT get a commercial plastic/bar metal cage as they will QUICKLY chew through the plastic as if it were a toy, and you will have wasted your money. So get a 10 gallon + aquarium, and provide fun toys. Gerbils also loves sand baths. Gerbils barely stink at all too, it takes one month for scent to be noticeable, for two of my gerbils in a 15 gallon aquarium, which is because they don't drink much because they are from Mongolian deserts.

I own Gerbils, and if you are interested in buying them email me, and I will give you more info.
