Im wondering how turbo and super chargers differ

  1. the other main difference as i am aware is that because a turbo works of exhaust and not of the fly wheel it takes time for the turbo to produce its power causing whats known as turbo lag. If you are not used to it and really have the power down this can surprise you and has caused more than a few accidents. turbos produce pwr at higher revs than superchargers


  2. A turbo charger runs from your exhaust and a supercharger is run off the engine's crank shaft. Both do the same job however. They are forced air induction units. In other words they force more air into the fuel/air mixture which gives better combustion and in turn more power.

    That's about as well as I can describe it with limited mechanical knowledge unfortunately.
