  1. Leave them on an paint the bits you can see.

I would recommend special calliper paint over acrylic. Your brakes get hot.

  2. You can remove the wheels, jack and support the car on axle-stands, remove the pads from the calipers, and use string or cable-ties to stop the caliper strining the brake-hose.

The caliper must be very clean, use washing-up liquid in hot water and a scrubbing brush to completely de-grease them.  When they are dry, paint with specialist caliper paint, available from Frosts (do a web-search) using a small brush, with small artists' brushes for the small areas around the hose fittings.  It would be better to use at least two coats, with plenty of drying time, and obviously, do all this in a nice dry garage!

The finishing touch could be some decals with the logo of the brake maker, such as 'BREMBO' or the car-makers badge.

    Good luck!

  3. if you use a little brush, you can do it while they are on.

  4. no,just leave on and mask off bits you dont want painted[pads/rubbers etc]...
