whats the easiest way to anaylise sources e.g picture sources and text etc. ?

hey i know a little bit boring but i do need help.

for history you have to analyse EVERYTHING practically..

i really struggle at this though ..

i know what i have to find..

usefulness

amount of info

ideas

compare

and limitations

that the source holds..

like i said i know what I'm supposed to look for, but its actually picking the right things out of the sources.

anyone can help me thanks!

and no one say well why did you take history blah blah ..

I generally use comparitive lists - you need to distill the information you are geting from the source and list it out in a logical manner. Some people use cards - but in these days of computers if you have the dat you can manipuilate it however you want. This sould highlight inconsistencies - if sources agree you need to establish if they are actually from the same root.

What to pick ut is the tricky bit as you have realised - the question will normally give some clues - byut you need to consider all the evidence you are finding before dismissing it.
