I want to know the easiest way to plant java moss and fern in my 20 gallon tank.

  1. Java moss doesn't have roots, so you cant really plant it.

    Try wrapping it around a lump of bogwood or a rock. As it grows it will cling to the ornament and just form a big blob of moss around it.

  2. Neither can be put into the substrate. Use fishing line to tie them to bogwood or rocks and they'll soon bond to it.

  3. Tie it to driftwood or a rock. It should grow and attach that way.

    Got any too spare? I need some so bad! They don't sell it here at any stores!
