Whats the easiest way to secretly record conversations over a CB?

Anyone have any ideas? I am totally lost. Something that you can install on or near the CB where neither party would know they were being recorded. It would have to record for about 5 days straight.

The easiest way would be to set up another CB somewhere close by and just listen to that channel and record it.  Anyone can tune in a CB conversation with any CB.

As the other answer said, there is no easy way to do this.  If the person is doing you wrong, it will be revealed one way or another.

I'm assuming you want to record this person's conversations over the CB with other people.

First of all you should be aware that this is likely illegal in most areas if you are not one of the people in the conversation. It doesn't matter that the conversation is sent over airwaves for everyone to hear.. it's the recording aspect that is the problem.

Let's assume that all is legal for your situation and look at a possible solution. The technical problem is that when he is keying his mike there is nothing coming out of his CB speaker at that moment, meaning that it would be hard to connect a recorder using conventional means. Getting the audio from other people over the CB would be easy though.

It might simply be easier to use a simply recorder to capture the ambient audio in the truck cab; you should be able to pick up him talking as well as anything coming over the radio. Some of those digital recorders are quite small. The real problem though might be length of recording; having one with VOX cability (voice actuation) would help but it would also activate with other noises in the cab too. The batteries might not hold out for 5 days of that operation either.

There are more complex ways to do this but they would require some specialized methods to implement. With more info I could probably help with that.
