  1. LOL, It sounds like you did the same thing I did and grab the permanent marker instead of the dry ease.. I used my wifes  finger nail polish remover... Be careful and don't let the remover sit to long on the board,, I used one paper towel with the remover and quickly went behind it with another dry paper towel to remove the residue..

  2. I find the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works best. It even gets it off your skin. Don't scrub too hard, it works just as well if you rub it gently.

  3. Nail polish remover, then wipe clean with soapy rag.

  4. Finger Nail Polish Remover. Or Hairspray Will Usually Work.

  5. depending on how much marker is on the board, i would recommend just taking your white board marker and going over the mark with it several times, then erasing as usual.  i don't know why, but it works!  i've accidentally grabbed a sharpie before instead of my whiteboard marker, and that's what i did to get it off.  comes off clean and easy. :)

  6. hairspray works good

  7. I found, years ago, that practically all inks can be removed by one of three items... some inks are cleaned better by one, and usually, whichever one doesnt take that particular ink, or marker off, on of the other two will.... Formula 409, Fantastic, DD7 (usually found in or near laundry detergent, as it is pretty good at getting inks out of clothing).

Nail polish remover usually contains acetone... and that is a solvent.  You run the risk of 'stripping' the finish on the whitebaord, or whatever painted surface you are cleaning with it.  It is very important to use as little as possible, and rinse immediately with cold water.

    Good Luck
