i came back and decided to elaborate since i read the other answers and i think your talking about taking more than the prescribed amount.

in my experience with abusing the drug, which you never should, i dont do that besides that one time, it relaxes you and you dont worry about anything at all. i was stupid enough to snort 6 footballs, take a vikoden, then take 5 shots of vodka. i was relaxed, then emotional, then sick, and on top of it all, i remember almost nothing.

are you asking "what are the effects of xanax"? it relaxes you. commonly used for panic attacks and anxiety.

I'm the mother of a now 24 year old who was on medication all his childhood for allergies and asthma, migrane and chronic sinusitis....it I could turn the time back I would NOT give my child any drugs and try natural supplements.....all drugs have side effects.  And anxiety medication doesn't treat the problem, it only treats the symptoms---so try to find out WHY and WHEN you get anxiety attacks and hopefully you can resolve the problem, possibly with a counselor.
