Whats the exact name of that impermable cover thing that look slike a hospital wall cover but its much thicker

its really tough and its mostly used to cover machinery and things like that, its also used a lot by mechanics, I dont think its plastic or vynil, I think its made out of asbestos and that is also fire retardant btu IM not sure, PLZ any 1 help me out?
