  1. I am 52.  I did a 200-miler in a day last year.  It was an event called the Metamora 4x50.

It is possible that the guy's father did 310.  I've participated in events where the big dogs did 24 hours, and the leaders pulled 480.  Yes, they are that good.

  2. Pittsburgh to Washington DC (300+ miles) in 3 days

  3. David Double Century. 200 miles. I was 14.

  4. When I was 10, I biked around lake tahoe, thats 73 miles, and It's still my farthest. Now I'm 13.

also, my Dad rode 310 miles in one day in the 70s.

  5. i biked 30km in 2 hours on a pretty rough track

it really depends on the track

    im 13 now so

i wouldve been about 11 then

  6. Back in the day I rode 107 miles from Davenport Iowa to Dubuque Iowa.  Next day I rode on the Iowa side of the river and covered 86 miles.

Another trip I rode 104 miles and 95 miles the second.

310 miles in 24 hours is very possible.

  8. I biked about 90 miles twice

  9. im going to have to call bull sh** on the 310 miles in one day. even riding 20 hours you have to keep up a pace of 15.5 mph and unless you call your daddy lance i say your full of c**p.

    -just my opinion

  10. 125 miles in 12 hours. Flattish route around Norfolk, 3 years ago.

120 miles from home to Skegness (Lincolnshire, England) in about 12 hours with a long rest in Skegness.

    100 miles on many occasions.

Not boasting, it's something that I enjoy. Now I'm well past my 50th birthday the distance travelled in miles is now distance covered in kilometres!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. In what period of time?

2600 miles on a 6 week tour I did way back in the day...

EDIT: Hey wil it is possible for a non pro to do 310 in 24 hrs. In MI they had the Wolverine 200 on Belle Isle (Detroit) every year - a 24 hour ride. Often the winner either hits or comes close to 400 miles. I had 218 miles in at 17 hours and quit when my friend got his bike stolen. I may have hit 300+ as well if I had the chance.

  12. I did 116 mi. on my Trek 820 mountain bike when I was 43.  Took me over 12 hrs as I recall, mostly on the Sakatah Trail.    I've wised up and bought a road bike this year;  so far I've done 101mi. in a day, but plan to hit about 150 on her before the season is over.

  13. a couple of months ago i rode from 205th street in The Bronx to Brooklyn Bridge to hit up the banks. I have no idea how far it was but i know it took me an hour and a half to get there.
