I don't know if anything has been produced since this bike but found this by doing a search.

Y2K is the world fastest bike. It is the first turbine powered bike.  

The engine used in bike was originally designed for a helicopter. Cost of bike  $185,000.

Engine: Rolls Royce Allison 250 gas turbine

Power: 320 HP @52,000 rpm (286 HP @ rear wheel)

Output RPM: 6,000 rpm

Torque: 425 ft/lbs @ 2,000 rpm

Compressor Speed: 54,000 rpm

fastest streetbike that average people could buy is a suzuki hayabusa. its the fastest normal street bike.

While I agree with Girl racer.      (links work fine)

For those who say the Hayabusa is the fastest street legal bike. I have seen it regularly put down by the Kawasaki 14 (ZX14 or ZZR14 depending where you are from) so it may have been the fastest its not now. and that's just straight line Drag Racing ... put a few corners in there and these 2 bikes would not be anywhere on my list of contenders
