  1. armbars seem to be the quickest submissions.  with a good grip though any of them could be quick tap tap.

  2. Oleg Taktarov beat Anthony Macias in 0:09 into round 1 with a stomach throw to guillotine choke in UFC 6.  It was a tournament style fight, and many peopled boo-ed the training partners/opponents for the quick bout because they suspected Macias threw the fight to allow Taktarov to progress on to the next opponent without expending much energy.

Thumbs up to Disco, that Shamrock vs. Jackson fight was one of the fastest real fights where cheating was not suspected.    ***edit 7/10*** duh, I just remembered - Royce Gracie's corner submitted at 0:00 of the second bouts of UFC 3, because Kimo had busted him up  so bad in the previous fight.  That's going way back.

  3. i saw jeremy horn choke out david loiseau in less

than 10 sec. me and my friend didnt know who won ,

    until the annoucer anounced it.

  4. Frank Shamrock vs Kevin Jackson via armbar in 16 seconds of the 1st round. this was UFC Japan. Ultimate Japan 1.

  5. outside of the UFC, the fastest sub was by Rumina Sato in Shooto.  He got a flying armbar on Charles Taylor in about 5 seconds.

  6. Recently Marcus Aurelio tapped out some guy in 16 seconds via armbar as well
