Whats the first thing a Police Officer has to do when taking over the previous shift?

Talk with previous shift or the supervisor to see if there is anything you should know about. Our office had a radio log from the last 3 shifts. If you have time, it's a good idea to read the log. Something important may not have been passed on from one shift to another.
