  2. It has a reserve so if you run out you can access about another gallon.

  3. It is called a petcock. Many bikes dont have fuel guages, so it is there to alert you that you are running low on gas - you switch to reserve and have about 25 miles before youre hoofing it to a gas station.

    Most newer bikes now have digital guages and no petcock.
