Whats the fuss about russia attacking and invading other countries ??

Isnt that accepted behavior these days??

i have no idea why anyone cares about this.

why does the US have to get involved with every David vs. Goliath conflict. If puny countries wanna mess with the big boys let them get squashed. Georgia made the first move according to reports. Why should Russia be scrutinized for stomping an annoyance like we should be.

for instance, if mexican soldiers hold our people hostage in our land we should wipe out their corrupt border patrol. if we get in the middle of this then we just sealed and signed WWIII.

It must be.  Reference the USA invading and occupying Iraq.  No justification, no threat- just thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis dead.

I don't think it is about regime change, but rather a dispute over borders and territory.

Well the biggest problem is that a strategic gas and oil pipeline runs straight through Georgia and the EU (european union) has been trying to get free from their dependence on Russian natural gas and oil for some time.  Georgia was to be the next logical step in gaining that independence and now that Russia has invaded it will be a huge problem making that happen.  Russia is using this situation to overtake Georgia and that strategic pipeline.
