  1. You'll be fine with it.  It is actually an excellent defensive handgun, like all Glocks.

  2. im 14 and the recoil is like all other 9mm's... not that much. it has a pretty snappy recoil and the pistolgrip is kind of boxy but i like it. theres no safety so u have to be extra careful.

  3. I wouldn't have a Glock on a christmas tree.

  4. The recall is pretty mild. My kids have shot mine with no trouble. The only thing I like to note...it doesn't "kick" straight up. The kick is goes up at an angle.

  5. It is a slightly larger version of the  19. 2 more rounds and a longer grip. If you have small to medium hands the 19 would be a better choice.

  6. Recoil isnt bad at all. Its like a little kitten compared to my snubnose .357. Its a nice, Reliable, High Capicity, polymer pistol. Its a great gun.

  7. The glock 17 is the full size 9mm glock pistol.  Recoils on 9mm pistols are pretty managable after you learn how to properly grip and fire a semi auto handgun.  I've fired a glock 17 before and liek the size and feel of the weapon. Glock has a safe action trigger pull system insead of ur double or single action and may take some time to get used to if u've been taught on other pistols.  But in all the glock 17 is a reliable straight to business type gun that woudl work out great as a defense gun.  But being 15 i dont think u can legally purchase a handgun in most states.  http://www.handgunsmag.com/tactics_train... thas a link on how to grip a pistol.

  8. you will be fine! i was shooting a .44 magnum ALOT at your age...just remember to keep both thumbs stacked on top of eachother when you grip it. never made that mistake myself but have seen it done

  9. You really need to handle one and feel the pistol in recoil. It's not bad at all. The muzzle climbs a little when you hear the bark. You have got to try one. Have your parents take you to a range with someone who owns one.

  10. You;ll be ok with the recoil, it's not bad at all, just keep a firm two handed grip. If you have small hands you'll find it an uncomfortable grip.

  11. awsome 9mm reliable pistol,

  12. Junk...

    Get a Springfield Armory XD.....I use a 45 ACP....

  13. I'm 15 too....unless you are a "little girly-man"(... well, if your name is Mary... that title may not make sense.... in any case, recoil isn't an issue) you can handle a Glock 17 no problem.

The recoil won't be an issue.... but as far as the overall feel, you love 'em or you hate 'em... I'm not very fond of their looks or feel or safety mechanism, but a lot of people really enjoy them.
