Whats the go with the Commonwealth Bank ads?

I............just dont get it.

what is it about? Some laousy americans bringing up ideas for how to promote the bank???

is that it or am i missing something lol?

I think eveyone has missed the boat on this one.

There trying to get the point across that they dont want a big fancy ad,  all they want is the commonwealth logo at the end of it to promote the bank!!!

do u get it. how it says at the start that it was an american ad agency. (americans are over the top) (or so the ad is sugesting anyways)

Hmm yeah, those bank ads are a bit strange but I do like them.  Much better than the boring NAB ad with the rainbows and climb every mountain type stuff.  Commonwealth tried something similar a little while ago and I thought it was just lame.....it was an ad that was supposed to motivate us to get out and enjoy life, acheive our goals and save with the Commonwealth....It was full of young, white go getters and was very preachy

I haven't seen the ad but I wish banks would try and get and keep customers by having good service rather than spending money on ads.

We had all our accounts with CBA for 20+ years before changing banks and they seriously suck the nads.

The idea is to get your attention and it seems to have done just that.  You watch in almost shock at how bad the ad seems and that is what gets your attention and then they show its a commonwealth bank ad

No I don't think you're missing anything.

They have no point. It's just a stupid ad.

It doesn't inspire confidence that it infers that they don't employ an Aussie ad agency, and they waste money on stupid campaigns.

Or maybe I'm missing the point too.

Why don't they go back to the "Which bank?" ads.

If someone says "Which bank?", I immediately think of the Commonwealth.
