  1. you think cuba would beat usa with professional players? you just barely beat our minor league players 5-4 in extra innings

  2. Cuba if you are talking about the olympics. If you are talking about in general, it is the United States of America. Remember the U.S. sends minor leaguers to the olympics. Cuba sends it's best. However, I have to say per person the tiny island of the Dominican Republic produces some serious talent and would produce the best talent considering the population.

  3. The top three: Cuba, Japan, and the United States could probably beat each other on any given day.

  4. Japan,USA,Venezuela and the Dominican Republic are the Nominees

  5. It has to be the USA.  Cuba has no freedom for its players that is why so many leave and come to the USA to play.

  6. Japan wins in a landslide.

Second is definitely the U.S of A.

    República Dominicana would be third.

    Cuba, fourth.

    Fifth... Venezuela.

  7. If Cuba is so great, then why do the good Cuban players come to the USA to play?

  8. Cuba and the US probally it would be a hard decision it just comes down to your opinion

  9. Many countries have developed a love of the game but the United States still leads the world in the number of quality players.  The reason for that is that the United States has a larger population to draw from and therefore more solid players will come out of these greater numbers.

  10. I would say between Dominican Republic and the US.

Cuba has had some great players too.

  11. If Cuba is the greatest country in baseball, why aren't all the other countries' players going there to play?

The country they all -- including Cubans -- want to come to in order to play baseball is America.

  12. Despite the huge influx of foreign players to the MLB, the U.S. still has tons and tons of elite baseball players.  Take a look at how good an American only All-Star team would be:

C - Brian McCann; backup Joe Mauer

1B - Kevin Youkilis; backup Mark Teixeira

2B - Ian Kinsler; backup Chase Utley

SS - Jimmy Rollins; backup Michael Young

3B - Alex Rodriguez; backup David Wright

LF - Matt Holliday; backup Ryan Braun

CF - Josh Hamilton; backup Matt Kemp

RF - Lance Berkman; backup Ryan Ludwick

    SP - Roy Halladay

    SP - Cliff Lee

    SP - Dan Haren

    SP - Brandon Webb

    SP - C.C. Sabathia

    RP - Jonathan Papelbon

    RP - Joe Nathan

  13. Pepole might not like it but its USA no doubt

    you have so manny leauges

    softball and baseball

    little leauge,calripke,baberuth,high school,college, doulbe a tripple a etc...

    plenty of more too

  14. Dominican Republic

Albert Pujols, Sosa and so many others.

  15. I'm just gonna say USA.

  16. The US has the best and deepest talent pool.  Yeah, Cuba and DR win in the amateur ranks because the top US athletes are playing professional ball.

  17. agree Cuba

  18. Cuba wins.. when other countries have their best players on professional leagues in full swing.

The US has the best baseball talent in the world.  Japan is second.

Cuba is somewhere between 3rd and 5th.  The Dominican Republic has some great players, as does Venezuela.

  19. Dominican Republic.

Last WBC we would had beaten Cuba if it wasnt for Salomon Torres. We had you beat but I guess we'll see this year.

I hear A-Rod wants to play for DR next year.

Nos vemos en el Clasico del Beisbol Mundial mi amigo!
