When I was in HS It was 4.0 and that's what I got plus a scholarship.

In college I got a 3.8. That was just a few years ago.

It varies from school to school depending on how many A.P., dual enrollment, etc, classes are offered by the school.

Depends on the School & classes offered.

But on a 6.0 scale it would only be possible to get about a 5.2 and that's if you take all AP courses offered.

I've heard of someone getting a 4.2. I kind of blew it off because I didn't know you could go higher than a 4.0 but apparently you can.

Well, if you're talking about regular courses, a 4.0 would be perfect. Now, that doesn't mean A plus, but actually anything in A range. However, if you're taking honor classes, a C or higher gets one more point. So, basically, if you get straight A's in honor classes, your GPA may go up to 5.0, which really is the best. Also, I live in Virginia so the grading systems may be different from your location. It's unlikely, but hey, anything's possible.

Lol it depends on where you are located... throughtout the united states each school system thinks it has the best system and thats why there are so many different gpa scoring systems... over here its out of a 12 rating... 12 being the best...

4.5...my brothers GPA. And he was only able to accomplish this GPA because of his honors classes. Students with regular classes can't earn higher than a 4.0.

The absolute highest possible in the united states, with honors classes, is a 5.0.
