  1.       You must build yourself up to it.  Start with short, manageable runs, then increase the distance slightly each week. At the same time practice your breathing technique. (Concentrate on exhaling, and the inhalation will look after itself.)     After a month or so you will be running the marathon.


  2. You need to condition your body!  I do so by drinking beer, and avoid running!  Running is murder on the knees!  Besides, I really don't need to run, I am 6'4" and not scared of much!

  3. don't breathe through your nose, breathe in and out from your mouth, it gets more oxygen to your lungs than through your nose.

    im no pro but start off slow then get faster and faster, i used to start off real fast and not warm up or go slow and found it to be tiring, but warming up helps

    and just go at your own pace for the most part, no need to try and compete and try and be the fasttest

  4. Pace yourself.  Don't try running so fast at one time.  Try and keep the same pace, and breathe through your nose.

  5. Pacing yourself , dont use all your energy in the begining and i REALLY find music helpful, i couldint run without my ipod! you just needs some good songs ;)
