tears for fears were a fine band, weren't they?  grossly underrated today.  jeremy vine used to play (and maybe still does) 'girl afraid' by the smiths as his intro music and it always disappointed me when he started yapping instead of continuing the tune, forcing me to switch him off and get the hatful of hollow vinyl out from behind the couch.
