Whats the latest on Brett Favre?

You know, with so many changing of decisions, I only kept up till about two days ago when he sent in the reinstatement form. What now? I LIVE in GB, and I havent heard anything lately.

i've heard that they upped the offer to $24 mil over 10 years to be their"marketing person". favre is actually considering it. he's not a sellout if he decides to take it, because i think he realizes that he'll never be ready on another team in time for the regular season. at earliest, favre could a free though on tuesday. goodell might reinstate him on monday and forces the packers to make a decision within 24 hrs.

michael m, it's not his fault! it's goodell for not reinstating him on Wednesday and it's the packer management (owner:mark murphy, gm:ted thompson, coach:mike mccarthy). stop being an ignorant favre hater!

LATEST UPDATES: Favre is considering the $25 mil offer less now. he is pulling towards the playing now. also, packer related news is that the ryan grant 7 day holdout is over. the contract details were not said, but its a 4 year extension.

NEWEST UPDATE: Roger Goodell WILL reinstate favre tomorrow (monday the 4th). So at the earliest favre will be a free agent or a player on another team, or actually on the packers, on the 5th of august (tuesday). Also, favre has said once again, hat he'll report to training camp.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 3rd, 10:53- favre will be in training camp tomorrow with packers and is hoping to compete for the job with aaron rodgers. also, tomorrow in packerland is family scrimmage night.

Wednesday , August 6th, 8:50am- favre is considering taking trade from buccaneers. he's thinking about talking to the bucs and thinking about talking to the jets. ted thompson is unwilling to trade favre in the division. favre may be a buc by the end of wednesday.

yesterday sportscenter was saying the packers are trying to pay him 20 mil to stay retired.

the latest is he is being offered a new contract, putting him upstairs, and so far he is not accepting it.

So, he probably will try and finish his current contract by sitting on the bench as back-up, and try to sign with another team.

the packers have been offering Brett 20 million to stay retired for the past couple months.  He has been declining because the point of coming out of retirement was to play again.  So he is probably going to report to Packers training camp, and then the Pack will release him, or trade him.
