Whats the longest flexable gas line made and used with an out door bar-b-que?

that's the question i want to run a gas line for my bar-b-que grill and I want to know what is the longest sold and generally coded ...thanks lenny

  1. I just plumb rigid galv black pipe as close to the BBQ as possible and finish off with a 36" flex.  depending on the BTU's of the BBQ and the city codes, you may have to do otherwise so:

    CHECK YOU LOCAL BUILDING CODE FIRST!


  2. Pinspeed is correct in that you should plumb it in hard pipe if it is over 60".  But check your codes first.

    Call the department that issues building permits and ask for a Mechanical Inspector and see what the codes say.

  3. you can go to a propane supplier and have a rubber reenforced gas hose made

  4. they have a plastic hose now, rated for use with gas.  you can make it any length you want to.  you could have a number of people make it for,  funace companies, bbq stores,  i just had one made, cost me a 12 pack for the guys,  had 25 ft left over from their spool, so asked them to put some ends on it
