Just curious! I tore the wallpaper off of my bedroom and master bathroom walls about 6 months ago. I thought I knew what I wanted to do as far as colors and etc but now that the walls are bare I don't know what to do! Whats the longest its taken for you to complete a project like this? Oh, and yes I know I am a procrastinator! =D

  1. Probably fewer than 2 weeks...Kitchen.  Usually only days, at most.

  2. when i stripped the wallpaper from my room and finished it it took about 3 months to get it perfect

  3. It took me about 3 weeks to strip the wallpaper, put in a ceramic floor with heat, install wainscott, new countertops, plumbing and electric.  Then paint!

Go ahead and make a decision, it only takes a few hours to repaint if you don't like your first choice.........best of luck on your endeavors.

  4. My kitchen took 3 years because I did it in phases, replaced the appliances, then the flooring, then the cabinets were refinished then the granite countertops installed.  Finally, I did the walls last and it all came together.  To jump start your project, get a few quarts of the colors you are considering and paint some squares of each color on the walls.  Watch how the light changes the colors as it passes through the room throughout the day.  It will help you eliminate colors that you don't like at certain times of the day and narrow your choices down the ones you do.
