Whats the meaning of "Patriot?

Are they People who love thier Country and can Express when the Country is Wrong in thier policy's at Home & Abroad!

  2. You are right... patriot does not mean a check in blank for  the government.

  3. I think a Patriot is one who has never said "if you don't like our country. leave it". A true Patriot never wraps himself in our Flag, but can still be proud even though he/she observes undesirable things being done in the name of our country because they can be changed at the next election.

  5. Razor Jim is right.  That does mean making sure it is a good country.  But it also means when its wrong you still love and support it.  You just work for change with out undermining its progress.  Unless it gets so far corrupt that revolution is the only way to fix its problem.

  6. Yes, a patriot can love his country and still disagree with the policies of the current government. Being a patriot does not equal "blind faith" in any administration.
