  1. with an 8 ft table you would probably need 12X12 room. but probably bigger than that

Enough room for either side, ends and room for sitting, socializing etc..etc..

  2. 18' x 14'

  3. 8' table          42" cue           48" cue        52" cue        57" cue

                        11' x 14' 7"     12' x 15' 7"   12'7" x 16' 3"   13' 5" x 17'1"

Since most cues should be 52  at least figure 12'7" x 16'3" as a minimuim!

Be sure that when you arrange to have the installer put up your table that they agree to return to re-level table (the table will settle)

I suggest that you do not set up a table yourself (break down is OK) but putting a pool table together is a job for a professional!

If buying a used table have pros check rails (if hard or worn out) replace rubber.

They will try to sell you Semonus cloth..if you don't play at a high level don't bother.  It's very fast and one needs allot of contol to play on it..and it's very expensive. Get a good medium grade cloth (cheap cloth is very slow)...And try to avoid wild colors....Green felt was always used for a reason..it's easy on the eyes!
