if you Google Royal Mail - on the web site it will work out the cost of post to the relative size and weight of the letter or package you want to send.

As far as I am aware the minimum cost is for a 2nd class stamp for a standard letter under 100g which is 24p

but they check by width and weight these days

For a second class letter it's 23p - according to the Royal Mail literature.
