For me: most bought 2 = £2

won £40 (when I only bought one hotpicks ticket!)

The chances of winning are virtually nil anyway, so why spend more than I can afford.  If I win I win, If I lose I'm not going to miss the money.

I saw a programme once talking about the probabilities of winning the lottery.  They bought 100,000 (amounting to £100,000) tickets and the most they won was £2,000...!
