  1. Frontline is the best ive used, its not expensive if you buy it online rather than from your vet!!

  2. Advantage, or sentinel, they kill internal parasites as well like round worms hooks and tapes

  3. Frontline pipettes is very effective and works fast! Works brilliant on my cats on the rare occasions that they do get fleas and it is very easy to apply this stuff to your cat. Expensive but well worth it.

  4. Advantage is the number one cap used by vets. It works great on fleas, mites etc. All vets carry them and you can apply it to your cat in a few seconds and very quickly all fleas will die and your cat won't be scratching anymore.

  5. Frontline, you can order it on line too, so you don't have expensive vet bills all the time.

  6. I prefer frontline plus, it kills the adult fleas and the eggs.  Advantage doesn't kill the eggs.  If you purchase from petmeds it is not guaranteed by the company, you need to purchase from a licensed veterinarian.  Try to see if your vet will match the price if you find it cheaper online.

  7. front line but if you can get it as its in canada flea rid away lasts 12mths

  8. I would say either Frontline/Frontline Combo or Advantage. I've used both products on all my cats and have never had flea/tick/lice problems or any bad reactions to them either.

    All the best.

  9. Front line or Spot On.

We use front line on both our cats & dogs. It works wonderfully but is not cheap. You should buy it from your vets. As over the counter stuff is not as affective & is considered toxic.

You should apply it just behind the head on the neck where the fur appears to part. Every month. Don't touch it or the area (as the ointment travels) Once applied dispose of the empty package & wash your hands thoroughly.

You could also try adding a flea collar. Just to keep the lil buggers at bay. This will need to be changed every 2 to 3 months.

And now you can also purchase a household spray (safe to use on fabric upholstery and all carpets.) To destroy the ones that have been transferred on/in to it.

They might not be visible to the naked eye but 95 times out of 100 their there alright. This should also be done once a month.

Front line often comes in packs of 6 or 12 for about £15:00 to £19.00

Spot on - Also available in packs of 6 or 12 for around the same price.

Hope i helped and good luck

  10. I have a dog and a cat and i use Frontline for both and they never itch or anything and never show any signs of fleas. You can get them at pretty much any pet store. Or you can call 1-800-PetMeds and then they deliver them to you.

    Here is the Frontline website:

  11. You can buy Capstar and Frontline Plus at drsfostersmith.com . The Capstar will kill all the fleas on your cat almost instantly and the frontline will prevent re-infestation. Use the Capstar right away. It will kill all fleas on your cat with in an hour. It is imperative that you do not skip this. Frontline (or advantage, revolution, promeris, etc.) is only effective if the flea bites the cat. Fleas have a 3 week lifespan and only feed for a few days of those three weeks, so you must use Capstar to kill all live fleas on your cat. After you Capstar add on the Frontline Plus and it will keep fleas off your cat for 30 days. Any eggs that hatch will be killed when they feed by the Frontline. Refrontline every 30 days. No vet visit required and totally safe.

Frontline contains fipronil, which spreads via the body oils killing fleas within 24 hours and ticks within 48 hours. Ticks are generally killed before they bite, decreasing the risk of tick-borne disease transmission. Approved for use on kittens 8 weeks and older.

Frontline Plus also contains (S)-methoprene, an Insect Growth Regulator, which prevents an insect from maturing or reproducing. Approved for use on kittens 8 weeks and older.

You can use FRONTLINE flea and tick control once a month and it's completely waterproof. Provide your cat with the best flea and tick protection, right from the start.

Capstar - Treats flea infestations on pets. Starts killing adult fleas on the pet within 30 minutes. One dose lasts 24 hours. Use when pets are likely to be exposed to fleas. Also may be used prior to surgery, boarding, or grooming. Active ingredient is Nitenpyram, which interferes with the normal nerve transmission of insects, effectively killing them. Not a preventive. For pets over four (4) weeks of age. Package of 6.

  12. frontline is the only one that works well on my kitties

  13. please just ask your vet what they recommend. i just lost y poor kitty from giving him over the counter flea medication. he started having seizures... it was too late. please if you love your kitty, spend the extra couple dollars and get him what works and is safe.

  14. Advantage, 2nd best is frontline. you can get these from your vet. DO NOT buy the over the counter stuff cause even though it may say it can be used on cats it can be toxic. I have seen 4 cats go into seizures and die after getting the over the counter applications
