What romantic way did you propose, or how would you?

My fiance bought me a watch for Christmas - I was wearing it for about 3 hours before he told me he's been waiting for me to look at the back of it (why would anybody look at the back of a watch?). I looked, and he had "will you marry me" engraved on the back. Then I looked up and he was holding a ring.

It was really nice because i'm not really into the whole soppy romantic 'sitting by the fire/on a mountain/in the bath' thing, and I've got something that I can always look at to remember the moment.

You could have a nice bracelet or something engraved.

Honestly, you should do something that will mean so much to both of you.  If she's really close to her family, maybe you can make it a surprise and have all of her family there when you do it.  Or if she's like me, I'd rather have it be a private thing between the two of us so I can talk about it later.  Just remember to say what you feel and actually ask the question.

Well the way I want it to be since I love the mountains and being up there cuddling.

But there is two ways..and my boyfriend now knows it... don't remember how it was brought up but he knows.

1)walking down by the river and then it starts to rain and we keep walking and are dripping wet and then he gets down and proposes to meh.

2)we are sitting by the campfire with all the stars above the sky. Cuddling.

Romantic can mean soo many different things to different people.

If she is a social butterfly do it around lots of people.

If she is kinda shy, DO it Intimately!

Well you make a lovely dinner or take them out to a restaurant  and request they put the ring in one of the dishes and serve it to her.

Or

Go to a very expensive place and where alot of people eat. And then very loudly prospose to her and when you ask her all the eyes in the room will be on her. She'll feel like a princess. And then if she accepts usually everyone will start clapping.

Or

Just do it the plain old simple way. Get on your knees and ask the holy question. :)

My brother always wanted to set up a scavenger hunt for his fiance to go on.  Then the ring would be at the end and he would ask her to marry him.  He didn't use this idea when he actually proposed, though.  Maybe he should have because they got divorced.
