  1. As much as I could afford !

  2. 7,000

  3. $5,000.  Determine what means the most to you on that day and spend the most money there.  I'm having about 100 guests and still only spending about $5-$7K.

    Good Luck!

  4. I had about 50 people and it cost around $2500-$3000.  We got married in a small chapel, reception was at my parents home, mom made all the food, dad bought all the alcohol and drinks, I got my dress on sale, we bought my hubby a new suit.  I ordered only the flowers I needed, we had a cake made at the grocery store and it was great and looked real nice, I made cd's of music I wanted played...it was great and everyone had a good time.

  5. I am having a similar size wedding, and am spending roughly $6000 so in my mind i had planned spending between $5000 and $7000. i think that's a fair estimate

  6. We spent about $6-7K for that many people.

Check out this webpage...it has a lot of great advice on how to have a great wedding on a budget:

  8. i'd spend what i could afford to according to my budget and not so much that I couldn't settle the bills without going into debt.  I think $5000 is a fair estimate if you budget around $50 a meal and the rest for entertainment, decorations, and the site.  However your mileage may vary due to the prices of flowers, sites, and food in your area.  Good luck and have a wonderful wedding.

  9. I'm spending $3000 for a 60 guest wedding!

I'm having it either outdoors or at my brother's church.

I'll be wearing nice slacks and a sweater (why buy a dress you're only going to wear once?)

    We're doing simple wedding invitations.

We are catering our own reception.

There are so many ways you can cut the budget with just the little stuff.

  10. Hi.  Well, this is hard to answer.  Do you mean how much would I spend strictly on the reception for 50 people?  Well, again, it all depends.  You can spend thousands of dollars if you are wanting the best of the best hotel banquet room, 3-course sit down dinner, a live band, a big cake, lots of flowers, etc.

So....you see, it really depends.  Obviously, you can spend anywhere from $300 on up to thousands.  It all depends on where you live, what foods and beverages you are serving, if you need to rent a venue, if you need to rent linens, chairs, what kinds of centerpieces you want, etc.

Or....you can go totally opposite.  Have a "home" reception or something very low-key.  A BBQ at a picnic area, for example.  Or, a cake and punch reception in the early afternoon right after the ceremony.

Sorry, this doesn't really answer your question.
