  1. the spot is not in indo it is in thaithi dont now how too spell it, it is just of new zealand

  2. Peah I saw a couple of movies and they said it is pronounced they way you said, but is interpreted as 'broken skulls'

I'd love to go to tahiti, surf, and wacth the local girls dance :)

  3. Teahupoo...

It's a "thick" dense wave that breaks on shallow water over a reef.. dangerous surf spot...

  4. you just answered your question

  5. its pronounced that way (choopoo) that spot is gnarly

  6. Pererure a.k.a.Teahupoo, means "the end of the road" in Tahitian, and is named for the village and the wave, which breaks over sharp shallow reef just 400 meters from shore.

Pronounced by non-locals as "ch-oh-poo" and affectionately called Chopes.

Locals pronounce it differently of course, more like "che-oh-hu-pu."

  7. Teahupoo, is in tahiti, and it is really fast massive, and powerful. its pronounced Cho-poo more rather than chooooo-pooo. there are some big spots in indo too though. like uluwatus (ulus).
