Whats the name of those cities carved into the sides of mountains in Mexico?

I can't think of what they are.

It's those cities in Mexico where they are either carved or built into the sides of the huge hills I think. I think it was some kind of ancient Mexican thing.

Do you mean pueblos?  Those are in the SW US, too.

Are you sure it's Mexico you are talking about. Might you not be referring to Petra, which is in Jordan? Like...the Middle East?...Like on the other side of the world? Your reference is too vague, no link, no pix...can you be a bit more specific?
