  1. cheaper to get feryy to bilbao

france iis full of toll roads

  2. you can only go as far as calais, i think you av asked this question once, when you get to calais its driving through to spain all the way to your destination. when i got to france on ferry we had to drive through the night. to get to malgrat. have a safe journey.

  3. The Euro-Tunnel is just a glorified tunnel, so it gets you to Calais on board a special train that carries cars. You're then on your own.

The one that gets you closest seems to be Portsmouth to St Malo, but that's still a very long way to drive.

  4. Either the ferry to Bilbao or a low cost airline. If you take the Eurotunnel you then have to travel more than a 1000 kms on land. A losing proposition money wise.

  5. i think you'll need 3 days and night lol you should take a airplane that will be quickest

  6. The lowest port in France is actually St Malo although the road connections from here aren't brilliant.

You'd be better off taking the ferry to Le Havre or Dieppe and driving from there, it's about a 12 hours (and that's non-stop of course) drive between either location and the Spanish border at Cerbere (the ferry to Dieppe tends to be cheaper)

So, if there were 2 of you who could split the driving you could do it in a day (just) or you would need an overnight stay en-route.

http://www.aferry.to is a good place to start for ferry prices

An alternative option of course is to take the Motorail from either Calais or Paris to Narbonne and drive from there, it's relatively close to the Spanish border http://www.raileurope.co.uk/frenchmotorr... has the details althought it's not that cheap.

http://www.theaa.com should be able to help with distances etc.

Whatever way you choose, have a great trip!

  7. Eurotunel goes as far as Calais - and then its a normal trainwith no tunnel. You can change trains and get wherever you want in Europe from there.

  8. approx  834 miles from calais to barcelona and the shuttle goes from folkestone to calais and that distance is 26 miles just over. I have travelled all the routes and each have the advantages and disadvantages. the difference in cost etc is not what to take into account it is the time it takes.

whichever way you go allow two days each way it may not take that long but that gives you some idea. cannot give you a estimate of cost because I dont know what you are driving

but a ballpark figure would be £400 taking into account fuel ferries meals tolls incidental exs on the way and all three would be about the same except the ferry to BILBAO AND SANTANDER add £200 to the preceding figure. i also assume more than one passenger

  9. i think you are an idiot!why don t you simply fly easy jet to spain or even british airways or iberia.sounds better to me in financial terms and travel time .should cost at most 200 pounds return at this period on a regular AIRLINE.CHEAPER WITH EASY JET.
