  1. The train station is right under the Airport for ease of access.  Once you get out on the platform there's an escalator to take you above ground to the Airport, it will be right in front of you.

If you tell us where you're starting off from, we can give you more accurate information but if you're starting your journey in London you can pick it up either at Liverpool Street Station or Tottenham Hale.

If this link is working, is should take you to the cost of the fares:

    https://www.stanstedexpress.com/content....

An open return ticket from Stansted to Tottenham Hale costs £24 (Stansted to Liverpool Street: £26).  Single fares start at £16 from Liverpool Street.

Tottenham Hale Station & Liverpool Street are also part of the Underground network so you can use the Victoria Line to get to Tottenham Hale, the Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City and Central Lines all go to Liverpool Street.

National Express also provide a bus service:

  2. I'm afraid there's no direct route from Stansted to Northampton. You'll have to come into London to catch a Northampton train.

Take the Stansted Express train to Tottenham Hale.

Change there for the tube -- you need the Victoria line westbound to Euston.

At Euston, there are frequent direct services to Northampton.

You can use http://www.thetrainline.com to book the ticket for the whole journey. Fares vary according to when you're travelling (discounts aren't available at peak times, for instance). The quote I just got was £32.90 for a cheap-day single from Stansted through to Northampton (including the tube journey.)

    Hope that's helpful.

    =)

  3. the name of the station is stanstead airport as well....

there are some bus service as well, starting from victoria, liverpool street, startford ... but they take around 1 hrs and there is a bus in every 30 mins usually and they are around £10 per person..

other wise take the train........that will take less time and i beleive that is with in £15 per person...

  4. The station is called Stansted Airport, but there are no trains to Northampton.

It might be easier taking the bus from the Airport to Harlow and there taking the coach (service 724, I think) to Watford Junction, from which there are regular trains to Northampton. Almost certainly cheaper than going via London, and no longer in time.

Sorry that I cannot add more detail to this response.

  5. Not sure if this'd help, but you can try http://www.taxifarefinder.com
