  1. teach them spellings and thier handwriting technique small maths sums like 1+2=3 stuff like that try reading harder books for them maybe teaching them the mounths?

  2. teach them small words cat dog if sit off

  3. sound like you did a good job. they sound ready for the next grade.

  4. Well, if they are that advanced then I guess books that are a grade higher.  Do something that will challenge them.

  5. Prepare your preschoolers for kindergarten by using written/verbal evaluations (such as asking them to recite the alphabet for you) to test their skills, and stress "public speaking" or speaking in front of the class (this is good especially for shy children). Always enforce standard classroom rules and behaviors, like sharing toys and materials, raising hands, "inside voices," lining up in single file, and as always, remember to encourage kindness, respect, good listening skills and good habits. Check your district cirriculum to find out what objectives should be met for pre-K as well as kindergarten and then base your lesson plans around that.

  6. Colouring , painting , drawing , and some exercise. For work dictation, paragraph test, several tests about what thought and handwriting homework.

  7. Simple Math?? Addition using something solid to count with like blocks, or apples or something??

  8. how about simple science concepts???

then phone numbers..if your students know numbers..they need to learn their phone numbers..

  9. some words...

  10. How about activities that let them explore the world and learn how to get along with others. Hands on science, cooking, access to art materials to use as they wish, a long free play session every day and opportunities to create and move to music all belong in a preschool classroom. So does the opportunity to make up stories and have them written down by an adult. You have done far too much in terms of academics. Now focus on the kids. And by the way, it's their, not there.

  11. Preschoolers know how to read and write shapes, colors and days of the week?  Wow!  You are doing a fantastic job. :)

Get books in their hands and let them read, read, read!!  Have them read lots of rhyming poems and words...sat, bat, cat, etc.  Let them sort words that are in two categories.  Make cards with 'at' words and cards with 'ot' words.  Mix them up and have the kids sort them in piles.  Play games with those cards.

These kids are on a role. (Don't push them too hard, they're just preschoolers.)  Just play lots of fun reading games and they'll do really well!

  12. Are they using the correct form for writing their letters (top down, left right), writing their name with first letter capitalized and rest of letters lower case? Can they recognize all the letters of the alphabet in random order? Both upper case and lower case?

Teach them the common sounds of the letters. Teach them the concepts of print. Teach them how to do things in sequence: first, next, last; teach them that stories have the same sequence, have them retell something that happened to them in proper sequence. Teach them to count to 10, to recognize the color words.

  13. Wow! You must have an awesome group of children.

I recommend doing lots of writing with the children. Set up a writing center with different kinds of paper, envelopes, little notebooks, etc. Have them keep journals where they write about things they do daily or maybe answer a daily question (like "If you could have any pet, what would it be?") Just ask children to do their best and write what they hear.

You might want to start a program called "Jolly Phonics".  Dd's teacher used that or a similar program to develop phonemic awareness.

The important thing is to accept "kindergarten spelling" or, in your case, "preschool spelling". Spelling is not what matters. They should be just sounding out the words and doing their best. Emphasis should be on their ideas, not on the spelling at this age.

My dd's K teacher would have the children do their writing, then bring it to show to her. (They also usually drew a picture to go with their writing.)  Some words she would write the "dictionary spelling" in small letters above what the child wrote. For example, my daughter wrote something like "I wd lk a hjhg". Some children might not be able to get even that many letters, but can tell you what they meant to write. Her teacher wrote in very small letters "hedgehog" above dd's spelling. So long as it's clear to children that "preschool spelling" is okay and the teacher's including "dictionary spelling" to help them learn, it's fine.

How about putting some emphasis on other areas of development, rather than academics? Gross and fine motor, art, music, social skills, etc.

Do some projects where they study topics of interest to them in depth.

  14. I would think maybe months of the year or VERY simple maths sums? I have never worked with but I have 2 of my own. I hope this helps.
