Since my husband is very sensitive to odd and heavy smells, i just get apple pie air fresheners.  Kinda boring, but it's the only thing that works in my house.

You should be able to walk into any grocery store and get candles.  Vanilla and peach are the most highly sought after; they give people a sense of well being.
