  1. Are you joking?  Carnac is in the middle of nowhere!  It is a great place to visit though and if you look beyond Carnac you will find many more neolithic sites worthy of your attention.  

    The closest big town for night life would likely be Vannes, and that may be a little slow as well.  After Vannes would be Nantes; my favorite town in France.  You could also check out Rennes for night life.

  4. Dead to the point of comatose if it is anything like the last time I went there.  Drink loads of cider and eat loads of cheese, try to learn the language (Breton).  Brittany is very cool.
