Whats the nightlife like in Queenstown, New Zealand? Is there hot single women?

Heading for 5 days. Thurs to Tues. There is 3 of us coming over from Beligum to meet some friends and 2 of us are recently single so we are keen to know if there is a big night scene with possible hot girls to pick up..

It's comparatively quiet in Queenstown at this time of year - it is South Island's playground during the month of January (high summer and long holiday break) when the "party spirit" is at its peak.

Pretty expensive there compared with other Cities in NZ, but I love it; on the other hand, I'm not into picking-up girls!  I'm sure there are some locals who still party out of season!

Queenstown is a pretty happening place all year round due to tourism, its a shame you're not coming a month later though as theres a huge festival every year at the end of june called winter fest. see link below
