  1. Damp and moldy.  I spent 8 weeks in a rain forest once and I never got dry.  By the time I got out, my clothes were starting to rot.

  2. Depends if you are talking tropical or temperate. tropical everyone knows about, Brazil, Congo, Queensland etc but temperate can be quite cold, Tasmania, the large island south of Australia has temperate rainforest while it can get warm in summer sometimes(40c), average summer temps are in the mid 20's C and in winter sub 0 is not uncommon and it is still rainforest. But you still get high rainfall in the 100in range.

  3. normal climate was how it was 100 million years ago, but humans wer poisoned by greed and we Fukd it up

have we done to planet earth besides death and destructions anyway?

  4. it is usually very hot, humid, wet and sticky.

    It also rains ALOT!!!

  5. In Ecuador it depended on the altitude for the temperature but the rain fall is near 100 in. per year in the jungle areas.

  6. The 2 most prominent rain forests in the U.S. are in Hawaii and Washington State.

The one in Hawaii I think, averages one more day of rain per year.

The average temperature in Hawaii is in the 80's. I think that is year round.

With the one in Washington, in the winter, could be anywhere from the 30's to the 50's and in the summer in the 70's and 80's.

What is interesting about the one in Washington is that it is on the Olympic Penninsula and has much old growth. The town of Sequim (pronounced squim) is about 40 miles away and averages about 4 days of rain per year.

I saw a tourist brochure from there that mentioned that odd fact.

Then again, Olympia is at the bottom of the Puget Sound and is the foggiest city in the world. That's not to far from the rain forest.

  7. Hot and Wet, the same way I like my woman.
