  1. LOL.  My dad.  At age 49 he kicked my brother's @$$.   My brother and I both boxed.  He was 16, I was 14 when we started.  He was "Smelling his own pi$$"  as they often said down south.  LOL.  He was stupid enough to challenge my dad.

Dad put on the gloves.  I was scared because I thought my brother would hurt him.  I was ready to kill him.   My dad landed the first and only punch.   Then everyone helped the jacka$$ up and he was never stupid enough to challenge the old man again.

  2. You can start boxing at any age.People as old as 60 do it for fitness in clubs all over the world.

As to who was the oldest allowed to fight in an actual match-not sure-it would depend on the country and state athletic commission.

I know you see police and army guys having amateur boxing nights and everyone from 20-50 pairs up.

  3. after winning 3  gold medals in successive olympic games, laszlo papp turned pro aged 31, and was forced to retire by the communist hungarian government on the eve of a world title fight 7 years later, with a record of 27-0-2 (15 ko's).

thats the best i can do.
