Whats the oldest document you have ever read?

Well apart from what I have read in museums papers gong back before the 1920s about Gypsies and terrorism.

  1. My grandma's birth certificate! THAT THING IS ANCIENT!


  2. I've never read it but Father found his Grandfathers will in his bureau the other day. (Pa's 86)

  3. My grandfather's birth certificate I think when I was researching my family tree. I really should have kept digging. He was born in Co Cork in the 1920s

  8. In 1215 there was a document called the magna carta. To me it is an amazing document if it was not for this we would have no laws. To me it is about protecting the citizens of the country from the leaders of a country my favorite peice is this.

    No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled . nor will we proceed with force against him . except by the lawful judgement of his equals or by the law of the land. To no one will we sell, to no one deny or delay right or justice.
