  1. It will improve.  As for how long I'm not sure.  But market-style/capitalist (okay actually mixed market for us but our system leans capitalist) have busts and booms.  We are currently in a 'bust'.  But we'll rise out of it.  Our nation has been through worse before---- The Great Depression was a lot worse than our current economic slowdowns.  The economy will recover and regain strength; China's and India economies will grow too.

  2. one word bad

  3. That's actually true. What is happening is that those countries are stealing (not really stealing of course) all our manufacturing because they want to work for less than we do. Our free market philosophy has returned to sink us. The only way to fix it is to have the dollar fall so low, oil prices so high that in efect trade will slow up, and we will have to do things on our own, like it used to be. That will be a big shock, if it ever happens.

  4. of course it will improve!  just look at our history the roaring twenties was the greatest economic period in America and then with the downfall of the global economy inthe 30s we went into a depression.

look at it this way:  the 90s was the roaring twenties of our lives and the early 2000s will eventually become our 30s.  Hopefully since this being our second time around our government leaders will prevent such a steep depression from ever approaching.

this is simple capitalism its bound to ahppen sooner or later...

  5. Bleak...i see it getting worse and going into 2009.
