  1. all i know is that if you take the car without permission, your parents can call the police about it (not intending anything to happen to you, like going to jail). but when the police find you, they can take you into custody if thy feel it's needed. and if they see you don't that you don't have your L's and you took the car, they will take you in. so i wouldn't risk it if i was you.

  2. haha my close friends have been there plenty of times!

You'd get a fine.. I think its $150.00, if the car is unregistered it would be more but your parents car is probably registered.

You may even get a Warning the first time but I'm not too sure.

If you continued to drive and get caught they may give you a longer  before you can even go for your L's and you would probably have to attend a court case.

But first few times I think its $150.00 Fine.

  3. just dont gt caught when i go for joy rides in my dads car i just put a P plate on it and i never get caught. but i am pretty sure they take u home. and just talk to u. nothhing more they can really do

  4. probably a pretty big fine, and they could make it so you have have to be older to get your license! like instead of 16 you have to be 18 or 21. good luck!

  5. depends what state you live in

    probs just a fine $150

if you have your L's in QLD and drive without a supervisor you lose them and get a fine

  6. You could be charged for driving without a licence. It depends which state you live in though. There is discretion in terms of what your punishment will be, but usually the maximum penalty is a large fine (a few hundred or thousand) and also you can be imprisoned, or be disqualified for applying for a licence for some time. If it's the first time you are caught then you're unlikely to get a strict penalty. Repeat offenders are going to be getting the harsh punishments.

Those are the actual acts that set out the law and give the maximum penalty.

  7. Depending on the state or territory and depending on whether or not it's your first offence, its usually a fine (amounts vary) and your learner permit is suspended for up to 3 yrs. If you were to have taken the car and had a minor accident (like reversed into someone in a car park), then you would probably be looking at a good behaivor bond as well You should try posting this question under law and ethics. Hope this helps.

edit: oh yeah and also, don't be fooled...P plates are cop bait. Especially now with all the new p plate laws that have just come in.
