Lola is right, hurricaines begin in Sept, but in Mexico rainning season begins in July.

Obviously the very nature of the storms makes such a prediction impossible, if not utterly meaningless. Hurricane season begins June 1 with August and September tend to be the more active months on average. So you would definitely be visiting during a period when a hurricane is possible. That's one of the reasons why this is the "low" season for them. Generally the overall chances of being in a hurricane at any given time and place are relatively small so I wouldn't let the possibility of one prevent me from planning a trip.
