Whats the percentage of female gamers??

Question

Seriously, how many girls and women love video games? How many females love gaming violence, games like the GTA series?

I mean if a girl don't like video games and is not willing to date a male gamer, that's just silly. The way I see it, playing games are better than having kids.

err.. well the comment "playing games are better than having kids" is just kinda weird - because they aren't mutually exclusive... and with an attitude that games can replace family you might struggle to get a girlfriend...

however, stats on gaming show that women represent just under half of the players. and that number is increasing.

So if you are having trouble finding a gf sounds like its got nothing to do with them not liking games...

probably about 10% of the gaming world consists of women. Basically ALL boys and quite a few men like to play games.

IMO you have to give and take so if a girl/woman won't date you because you are a gamer then yes, it is silly and she is isn't worth dating.

I think its very important to find someone with similar interests but that that doesn't mean ALL your interests have to be identical. I love gaming (Halo, Half Life, Time Crisis 4 etc) so does my husband but he also has others interests (football) that I hate and vice versa.

Maybe its not the games that some girls/women hate....maybe its the amount of time guys play on them. IMO you need to find a girl that does not need your constant attention, make sure she has plenty of interests to occupy herself. ;-)

Im a gamer.

ive never played GTA...but Im a big player of the Resident Evil series. Ive played nearly every one of the games...and nearly own all of them. except those on the the newest systems.

Although I don't understand the reasoning behind the "...playing games are better than having kids," comment I will say gaming is fun and especially interesting when females are involved. My wife and I play together and she kicks my a**. She actually plays with a few other women online.

Even though it's a rare but nice occurance I'd say probably 15% of the gaming world consists of female gamers/

Gamer girls are definitely fun.  All I know for sure is that there are far too few of them.

Statistics show there's a huge growth in females gamers.  But, they discount the fact that many of these gamers play games that the mainstream gamers wouldn't even consider to be real games.  Just little puzzles with minor graphics.  Or some kind of digital pet.

True female gamers are still a rare find.
