Whats the person who gives autopsys after a crime?

i want to be the person who disects people after they are murdered or something like that but i cant figure out what that person is called. My mom said that they are a pathologist andi think that they are called a forensic autopsy technician which one is it??

I always thought it wast the coroner... but a forensic pathologist is the proper term.
