Whats the pet soil to plant a bonzi tree in?

my bonzi tree is outgrowing its current pot. is regular potting soil ok?

A good potting mix is ok as long as the container drains properly.Also it may be time to trim the roots a little to maintain the bonsai effect, if the plant is allowed to grow a normal root system then then it will have more growth above and just become a trimmed back plant.keeping the roots trimmed and the plant growing in a "undersized" container, keeps it bonsai'd
