  1. The point of adoption is to give a child a home. A child that wouldn't have had a good life with the birth parent(s). You have a way to go before adopting a child from America. Children go to the most qualified people first. Translated that means stable, married couples with clean records, good jobs, good mental health and money.

  2. There is this thing called unplanned pregnancy that happens to a LOT of people (myself included) and being unplanned, the people who are set to become parents, are probably not prepared for it yet. Most people change their situations to accomodate a baby, some people cannot because it just isn't possible (or they don't want to) and so they give the child up for adoption to give them a normal life

  3. Its a choice made by a mother who is not emotionally, financially and physically ready to be a parent.

"Why have kids if you can't look after them??" Sometimes a woman gets accidentally pregnant. Not having planned a pregnancy.

  4. Sometimes their parents die and they have no one to look after them.

  5. people give up their babies when they are not financially and emotionally equiped to take care of them.

  6. I am an adopted child and I also put my two daughters up for adoption. I was young and naive and was not well equipped emotionally, physically, or financially able to care for them. I love them, and think about them everyday, but the deserved more then what I could give them.
